History
Henderson Brothers is one of the leading independent insurance agencies in the tri-state area. Headquartered in Pittsburgh, we have a long history in the region and in the insurance business, tracing back to 1893. Our firm was founded by two industrious brothers – named Henderson coincidentally. One of the brothers worked with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and saw the need for an insurance agency to serve the bustling river industry.
Since then, Henderson Brothers has grown in many ways, and diversified into virtually all areas of insurance and risk management, enabling us to offer our customers a full range of products and services tailored to meet their needs. Today, we design and manage programs for thousands of individuals, as well as many of the leading corporations, small businesses and non-profit organizations in the region – and beyond.
While ownership passed from the Henderson Brothers in the 1930’s, and we are now a third-generation family-owned business, what has remained unchanged is our dedication to the needs and concerns of our customers. We realize that our job is not only protecting your personal property and business assets, but also providing the assurance you need to face an uncertain world tomorrow.
