With every passing year, a new class of workers from what is affectionately known as “Generation Y” (or, “Millenials”) enters the workplace. As this number gets larger by the year, so, too, does the influence they wield on the culture of business, including how they communicate, both internally and externally to the company, how they work, and even how they dress. Savvy companies are quickly learning how much of an asset Gen Y can be, and are working to adapt the company culture to better suit the needs of Gen Y, and working with these young people to ensure that their skill set best meet the needs of the company. As part of the “Solutions 21 Show” on American Entrepreneur Radio, host Buddy Hobart of Solutions 21 talks with our very own Tom Grealish about the challenges facing employers who import Gen Y talent into the company, and how to adapt the culture to fit the leaders of tomorrow.
