Two years ago we started working on ways to instill a culture committed to safety at all of Baierl Automotive’s locations around the city. After many meetings and planning sessions, a Safety Incentive Program was launched. The Managers were trained to conduct safety meetings, inspect their locations for safety hazards, and make changes that created a safer workplace environment.
Baierl’s senior management worked with our team which consisted of Fred Samson (Loss Control), Jennifer Kercher (Claims Management), and Sam Greenwood (Insurance Producer) to develop and monitor the program. To the pleasure of all parties involved, the results were outstanding!
And what were the results? Baierl had no lost time accidents and medical claims were significantly reduced.
On Friday, January 13th we held a luncheon for all the managers that met their goals, and we recognized each for their fine work in making the program a success.
We hope to have this continued success with more companies in the future, because safety is such an important part of a successful risk management program.
