Posted December 12, 2011 Company News

Littler Shareholder Tammy McCutchen testified in a recent hearing conducted by the House’s Subcommittee on Workforce Protections that the Wage and Hour Division (WHD) has shifted its focus. The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) affects an estimated 135 million workers and 7 million employment establishments nationwide. In recent years, the WHD has adopted a more punitive enforcement agenda. These actions are alarming employers who are already frustrated with the federal law.
