HR technology vendors are working diligently to unveil new vaccine management solutions designed to help HR teams track the immunization status of employees in addition to other COVID related features. Some experts say using these technologies to collect, store and analyze employee vaccination data comes with legal risks and requires appropriate care in handling.

Below are a few thing to consider:

  • Be mindful of state data privacy laws
  • Store vaccination details in a separate system away from personnel files
  • Make sure other medical information from or about employees isn’t included
